We exist to provide access to the performing arts for children and young people, regardless of their circumstances.
Performing arts have been shown to positively influence academic performance, social skills, and overall well-being. We offer free and reduced rate places for those who face social or financial barriers to participation to ensure that every child can access these benefits.

Students from low-income families who engage in the arts are also three times more likely to get a degree2.

The performing arts play a pivotal role in developing social and emotional competencies, engagement in creative activities can significantly reduce anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues3. It’s also been shown that children who engage in arts activities are more likely to develop strong social skills and show greater emotional resilience4.

Montage Theatre Arts’ year-round programme includes term-time classes, holiday courses and tailored school workshops to help develop well-rounded individuals that go on to have profound life advantages.
If you know a child or young person who might benefit, and they face financial or other barriers to participation, please consider referring them.

Current full-time student and/or an annual family income of £32,000 or less
We will take into consideration any student who does not qualify for a free place using the above criteria but feel that would benefit from support.

We work with many schools across the borough and we’re always looking to increase our outreach.
